Software

I am fluent in R and have completed multiple projects involving statistical analysis, data visualization, R package development, and machine learning. I have used a wide array of methods and libraries for a variety of projects, and learn quickly with new material as well.

I additionally have familiarity with Python, particularly for data cleaning and pre-processing. Some projects I have worked on have involved large administrative datasets that required pre-processing before analysis in R.

Software projects below showcase a variety of topics and skills. These selections notably do not include substantial pre-publication research projects or otherwise restricted research.

natalityr

An R package for preparing and classifying CDC NVSS natality microdata from 2016–2024. Provides functions for birth classification; data importation and filtering; and cesarean rate summaries.

This package demonstrates a cross-language integration between R and Python, using libraries such as pyarrow and reticulate. This process extracts selected variables and converts the resulting data to a Parquet format for efficient storage and access within R.
